Congratulations John and Jessica Mitchell from Philadelphia, PA!  John and Jessica were married at Trinity By-the-Sea on Saturday, December 15th at 4:30pm.  Stay tuned for pictures!

Altar Flowers:  There are still dates on the January calendar to sign up for altar flowers.  This is your opportunity to honor, celebrate or remember a loved one or special event!!

Annual Giving: If you haven't already, very shortly you will be hearing from Bill Wood, Stewardship Chair, asking you to pledge for the 2008 year.  It is going to be a critical year for Trinity as we will have the added cost of a full-time rector.  Please prayerfully consider increasing your pledge over your 2007 giving.  Those who have not pledgee in the past are encouraged to do so.  We can only prepare an accurate budget on pledges - not on loose offering.

Christmas Services:  Thanks so much to all who participated in the preparation and decoration efforts for our Christmas services.  We had a great turnout this year and were able to get the sanctuary in great shape for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services.  Christmas Eve services were at 7:30pm and we had a "full house" of nearly 200 members and guests.  Thanks also to all who made generous Christmas offering donations, it looks like Bill Wood's Budget Meter will be climbing in leaps and bounds - and may reach the Blue side!  See the special link from our main page for a few Christmas Day pictures.

Parish Meeting (11/4/2007)
An open parish meeting was held after Sunday service on November 4th in Kilolani Hall.  The meeting was the culmination of the prioritization efforts that have been ongoing for several weeks.  Fr. Kennedy presented the results of the surveys conducted in the preceeding weeks, which were a "first cut" at identifying the priority of various features, tasks, functions, activities and offerings on a variety of global topics.  At the meeting, the parishoners were given the opportunity to provide a more consolidated prioritization of all the key items of importance in each area.

Father Kennedy will capture this final prioritization data and discuss with the vestry those items, initiatives and activities that may require funds and the vestry will decide which items will be supported in the short, medium and long terms.

As always, the meeting offered an opportunity for fellowship and, for several of our returning Koleos, an opportunity to renew old friendships and catch up with the goings-on at Trinity.

Stay tuned to the News page for the results of this effort and the vestry's plan moving forward at Trinity By-The-Sea!
