Parish Ministries
Trinity by-the-Sea offers many opportunities for personal service and development.  Consider offering your time and talents in one or more of the following areas:

Altar Guild

Trinity by-the-Sea's Altar Guild needs you! Have you never wondered who prepares the church for services each week? Preparations are many, including: Acolytes
Acolytes serve at the altar at all Sunday services. Their humble work - bringing books and candles, refreshing supplies, and running errands and coping with emergencies - not only helps the services run smoothly, but also adds much to the dignity and beauty of Anglican liturgy. They also serve at special liturgies througout the church year--including Holy Week, Christmas, Ash Wednesday, and other special services.

Lay Readers
Lay readers recite the selected readings, psalms and prayers of the people at all Sunday services as well as special liturgies throughout the church year.

Chalicists
Chalacists support the rector during Holy Eucharist, offering body and blood of Christ to all parishoners and visitors.  All baptized Christians are welcome at God's table at Trinity By-The-Sea.

Greeters
Greeters welcome parishoners and guests at Trinity By-The-Sea, helping with nametags, prayerbooks and hymnals for Sunday and special services.  Greeters also tend to the special needs of visitors and parishoners alike, with special prayer requests, coordination of transportation, and fellowship before, during and after Sunday services.

Ushers
Ushers support the greeters in escorting parishoners and visitors to their pews and attend to special needs of our guests.  They also coordinate the Sunday plate offering, communion procession and presentation of the elements for all regular Sunday and special services.
