Your Wedding or Special Event at Trinity by-the-Sea

Trinity by-the-Sea Episcopal church is a beautiful place for a wedding.  The tropical outdoor setting, the vestments and the traditional setting of the Episcopal Church make for the ideal merger of familiar church environment and exotic tropical beauty of Maui.

This Sacred Place
Trinity by-the-Sea asks you to respect our customs and traditions in the use of our church.  We hold this to be a sacred place and it should be treated with reverence.  A service to bless the union of a man and woman in heart, body and soul is "not to be entered into lightly or unadvisedly, but reverently, deliberately and in accordance with the purposes for which it was instituted by God."  Guests who come to witness a service are also giving and receiving blessings by their presence, and are establishing a relationship of support with the wedding couple.

Photographs and Videos
The wedding service is primarily a religious service.  Photos may be taken, but not in ways that interfere with that primary purpose.  Photographers and videographers will do their work under the direction of the priest performing the ceremony, respecting the sacred nature of the church.  Posed pictures may be taken after the ceremony.

Music and Audio
Trinity by-the-Sea has a professional sound system with electric piano, amplifiers, wireless handheld and lapel microphones.  Audio services, as well as the services of our music director may be available for a fee.

Church, Parish Hall and Grounds
Trinity by-the-Sea requires that wedding parties leave the church and grounds in the same or better condition than when the party arrives.  To this end, no rice or glitter will be thrown.  Kilolani Hall may also be made available for public or private meetings or gatherings.  The hall has commercial-grade appliances and facilities to meet your needs.  As with the sanctuary at Trinity by-the-Sea, use of Kilolani Hall must be in accordance with the rules and guidelines defined by the church.
